Kind of old (really old), but Lush on Twitter was doing mini raffle giveaways last month and I won! (I was one of many lucky people to win since they did lots of mini giveaways.) Coming home to this in the mail box really made me smile.
Here's what was inside my goody box, which of course, smelled really good when I opened it!
The note said these are three of their best selling products., ohh la la!
Descriptions from the US website:
Honey I Washed The Kids
Caramel and honey scented soap to clean up the whole family
"Once you've unwrapped this mouth-watering toffee scented soap, you'll immediately want to wash yourself all over with it - and then wash your honey, and then the kids and maybe even gran if she's lucky. With masses of honey and aloe, this delectable bar is perfect for washing the whole family, even those with sensitive skin. Topped with a slice of beeswax and infused with bergamot and sweet orange to lift spirits right up into honey-heaven."
LUSH heard your skin's prayers and answered them
"If you've got skin with severe problems, you could spend your whole life dreaming of a clear, trouble-free epidermis. Give our best-selling Dream Cream a try; we get loads of emails about how well it works. With a base of oat milk (traditionally used to calm skin), it's packed with every calming plant we could find: tea tree, lavender and chamomile, moisturizing olive oil and loads more. If it seems nothing works to calm your skin, apply a healthy dose of this, our best-selling cream. You can thank us later."
A luxuriously refreshing, milky-white, snow shower jelly (chill before serving).
"Our snow-white, winter jelly returns this year to showers everywhere. For an invigorating morning wash, keep it in the fridge or freezer. It melts slowly under warm water, frothing up into a creamy, skin-softening lather. Sweet orange, lime and cognac oils wake up your sleepy senses and put you in the mood to party. The fragrance is in our Christmas Party Bath Bomb too, but in case you don't have time to bathe between work and party, here it is in a lovely skin and hair softening Shower Jelly."
Honey I Washed The Kids smells really good!! I actually keep this in my room, because on warm days when I come home, my room just smells nice and yummy from it, mmmm. And how cute that it has the honeycomb imprint on it?
As for Dream Cream, I had the full size back in the summer so I know it really is soothing for sensitive skin. The scent is not the best (sort of an earthy garden scent...and by garden I don't mean flowers), but it's a nice light-medium moisturizer (not a heavy winter moisture workhorse).
I used Snow Showers, since it smelled so nice and it's a limited holiday scent/item. I did NOT freeze it, haha, because the air here is way too cold for me to do such a thing (I've never appreciated a hot shower as much as I did/do this winter). It is a jiggly little bugger (it looks and feels like tofu) that kept slipping out of my hands, so while it smells nice and is a cute novelty, that's kind of about it. Fun for a bit, but not a favorite of mine.
I can't say I love every single Lush product, but I am a fan in general of both their products and company philosophy. My absolute favorite Lush product so far is the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser, which I've just run out of, oh no! Although I'm also considering trying another cleanser, the Aqua Marina. Looks like I'll be heading into a Lush shop very soon.
Any beloved Lush products you'd recommend?
EDITED: I went to the Lush store and HIWTK did not look or smell like what I had! (It's similar but what I have is definitely more mouth watering.) Then I saw it...
Tempting honey and white chocolate bar for two (or three)
"Mouth-watering white chocolate, honey and peppermint seduce you with their crafty ways, making this bar simply irresistible (we just want to let you know what you'll be getting yourself into). It will leave your skin soft, smooth and smelling delicious, which could lead to some steamy situations. You may be tempted to take a bite out of the unsuspecting victim you've rubbed it onto or the bar itself (which we've done too and it really doesn't taste too badly) but it's for massage, so start there."
P.S. If you have Twitter, follow Lush!! I noticed they still randomly giveaway prizes for retweets. =)
